PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role exists to tell Grace Church’s story in a compelling, consistent, and creative way across multiple digital platforms. This role leads the full spectrum of digital content – social media strategy, video production, graphic design, and photography – to grow our audience, deepen our community engagement, and connect people to the life of Grace Church. This person is both a skilled creator and a strategic thinker who owns our digital voice and raises the standard of online content we put into the world.
(This is a Sunday-Thursday position)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The list below outlines the primary focus areas for this role and the approximate percentage of time dedicated to each.
Social Media Strategy & Management (25%)
Own all Grace Church social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). Develop and execute a monthly content calendar. Track performance analytics and report monthly on growth, engagement, and reach. Stay ahead of platform trends and emerging formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories, etc.). Create, manage, monitor, and report on paid advertisement campaigns and strategies on social channels.
Content Creation & Consistent Publishing (20%)
Plan, produce, and publish consistent content including graphics, photos, short-form video, and written copy that builds brand awareness, reflects Grace’s voice, and drives meaningful engagement. Maintain a consistent publishing rhythm across all platforms.
Video Production (20%)
Lead end-to-end video production for weekend services, social media, YouTube, and ministry campaigns including planning, shooting, editing, and distribution. Produce sermon recap videos, podcast episodes, YouTube thumbnails, and promotional reels weekly. Manage both on-site and off-site shoots.
Graphic Design (15%)
Create all digital and print design assets including social media graphics, large event promotional materials, sermon series artwork, templates for various ministry design needs.
Photography (5%)
Capture or coordinate photography for weekend services, events, and ministry activities. Lead a team of photography volunteers by envisioning and empowering them to capture moments at Grace that celebrates our people and church. Curate and maintain Grace's photo library for use across platforms, communications, and printed materials.
Ministry Content Support (5%)
Serve as an internal content resource for Grace Church ministries. Manage a clear intake process for ministry content requests, set turnaround expectations, and produce video, graphic, and social assets as capacity allows.
Volunteer Team Leadership (5%)
Onboard, schedule, train, and develop a volunteer media team (photographers, videographers, social media contributors) as needed. Foster a culture of excellence, growth, and mission alignment within the team.
Cross-Team Collaboration (5%)
Participate in weekly Communications and Digital Experience team planning. Collaborate on campaigns, series launches, and seasonal initiatives. Contribute digital media expertise to Grace's broader strategic planning.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in social media marketing, video production, or digital content creation
- Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)
- Proficiency with Canva for rapid social graphics and ministry collateral
- Proven ability to produce and edit video from concept to final delivery
- Strong graphic design sensibility with an eye for brand consistency and visual storytelling
- Experience managing social media platforms natively including scheduling tools, analytics, dashboards, and platform-specific content formats
- Understanding of social media algorithms, content strategy, and audience growth tactics including paid advertising
- Skilled photographer comfortable shooting in live-event settings
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent written communication skills for copy, captions, and scripts

- Attend Grace Church worship services, weekly staff check-ins, monthly staff meetings, quarterly Core Team (membership) meetings, and annual staff retreat.
- Directly work and be committed to the success of Grace’s Big Six events: Easter, Grace Kids Camp, Community Fair, Weekend of Service, Artistic Production, and Christmas Eve.
