Core Team is for adults who want to lead, serve, and help shape the direction of Grace Church through engagement, prayer, generosity, and participation.

Core Team is for people who consider Grace Church their church home and want to actively participate in the life and mission of our church.

If you're interested, attend an orientation and meet with a pastor to learn about the values and purpose of Grace and Core Team, to decide if it's right for you.

Anyone age 16 or older who meets the commitments below is welcome to join:

• You have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ.
• You align with Grace Church’s mission, values, and beliefs.
• You participate regularly in worship.
• You serve within the church.
• You give generously and consistently.
• You recommit annually through our opt-in process.

A healthy church fulfilling its mission depends on a committed core of people who own the vision and direction of ministry. Grace Church is not built by staff alone. It is built by a committed group of people who pray, serve, lead, and help guide the direction of our church family. That committed group is our Core Team.

Core Team members help shape the direction and health of Grace Church through participation and governance.

Each year, Core Team members:

• Attend 3 to 4 Core Team gatherings
• Nominate and vote on elders
• Vote to approve the annual budget
• Confirm candidates for the Leadership Review Team (LRT)
• Participate in confirming a new Senior Pastor, if needed

Beyond these official responsibilities, Core Team members pray for our church, provide input and insight, serve in ministry, and model discipleship in everyday life.

Serving is an important part of Core Team. There is no set volunteer quota. However, we ask every Core Team member to actively use their gifts to serve the church in some way. The goal is engagement and ownership.

Online attenders are welcome in Core Team. If Grace is your church home and you are committed to the mission, we will help you connect in meaningful ways through serving, groups, growth opportunities, and Core Team gatherings.

Yes. Every member recommits to Core Team annually through an opt-in process.

Annual recommitment keeps our Core Team list accurate so we can care well for our church family, communicate clearly, and steward decisions like voting and leadership nominations with integrity.
